And you know it is getting really close when the envelopes for the tours are printed and ready to go ....
W ell a few things have happened since I last wrote...
Had a lovely visit when Ros and Arnold stayed on their way down to Warrnambool. My baby girl has been teasing me with lots of wonderful pictures during her trip to Europe... what did we do without facebook.... honestly !! LOL
Last week, the Sea Princess World Cruise left from White Bay... Wanting to find an excuse to go down there I arranged to pick up Anne and John from Darling Harbour and take them to the wharf... it is always great catching up with them since our Cruise in 2011 ...
Now White Bay has been very controversial.. you either love it or hate it.... Yes it is on the wrong side of the bridge ... but lets face it we needed a quick solution since the ex politician pulled a swifty and passed the Barangaroo plans under the cover of darkness and torpedoed Wharf 5 – 8.
As an embarkation port it seemed to work well... For us on this side of Anzac Bridge it is great as we no longer have to travel through the city to get to our ship... For Visitors not so good as there is no public transport so at the moment your only means of getting there is either by private vehicle, taxi or expensive cruiseline shuttle...
The terminal itself is excellent.. large, light and airy.... full length windows means that you can see the ship, a great little coffee shop and you are able to watch your love ones board the ship. The only criticism I had was more with Princess... where was the jazz band? ... where were the world cruise banners and balloons.... in the past this added to the excitement...
Best part about taking Anne and John to the terminal..... was saying not goodbye.... but see you in Venice!!
This week we also went down to the city to see the Vivid Sydney Lights... the draw card... the pacific pearl was in port and they were going to light up the side of it as part of the show...
And yes we are now in possession of our Indian Visa’s ... bring it on!!
