Back up to castle for our tour where we met up with another 8 people from our ship doing a trip with another company, so all 16 toured the castle together. Unfortunately we were not allowed to take any photo’s inside the castle... only outside... hence the lack of photo’s.
Now we did a little toing and froing through this town of Anguillara, but this time we were on our way to the unspoilt hill town of Calacata, a little gem in Fabrizio’s mind.... Now after visiting Civita di Bagnoregio on our last visit you can’t help but think this was a poor relation....but in fairness and now when look at the pictures, if you didn’t have anything to compare to you would have thought it very quaint... this little town was once abandoned by most of its inhabitants due to its instability. There was a drop in real estate value so lots of artists moved in and hence put their own touches to the town.
