Barcelona 2

Our mission for today was to visit La Pedrera also knows as Casa Mila.  This building was designed by barcelona’s famous Gaudi for Pere Mila as a family home and apartments to rent.  This building is everything Gaudi, all curves and nature inspired right down to the decorative elements inside and out.

After here we walked back down towards the Cathedral, situated in the Gothic Section of town.  Out the front there seem to be a book fair.  Lots of stalls selling books, interviews with Authors and pantomimes for Children.

Getting close to lunch time now we decided to retrace our steps from 2011 and find the same restaurant we had our delicious paella.  Luckily there was one distinguishing land mark in the background that made it easy to find!!  The food was just as good and the sangria’s just as big but the only thing missing this time was the street entertainment out the front.... Luckily we had good company to share our meal.

Now it was time for Carly request No 2 ... a drink at the bar Bosc de les fades Cafe, a bar that feels like you are in an enchanted forest.  So Carly in great sacrifice for you, the girls and I shared a lovely bottle of Cava (Barcelonan champagne) in your honour!!

Lots of hugs and kisses goodbye to our family and we headed back to the ship saying good bye to Barcelona once again.
